Jewelry Care Guide
Keep your pieces beautiful for years to come
Water Resistance
Stainless Steel & Tungsten
These metals will not rust, tarnish, or turn your skin green if you get them wet. If you choose a piece in our unplated stainless steel finish, you can swim or shower with your piece as much as you like.
Plated Pieces (Gold, Rose Gold, Black)
We recommend you avoid getting plated pieces wet, as the chemicals in soap or swimming pools may corrode the plating. However, getting a bit of water on them every now and again will not be an issue.
Sterling Silver & Brass
The short answer is: avoid getting these wet. All silver and brass will tarnish over time. Silver can tarnish when exposed to harsh chemicals, as well as swimming in pools and the ocean. Some climates can cause tarnishing too — particularly those with high humidity or if you live close to the ocean.
Daily Care & Protection
Remember: "Last on, first off." Put your jewelry on after applying perfume, makeup, and hair products. Remove it first before showering, swimming, or exercising.
Avoid grinding on hard surfaces as this will scratch the plating. Although tungsten carbide and stainless steel are hard metals that won't easily get scratched, most gold, rose gold, and black colors are PVD plated and can be scratched on hard surfaces.
We suggest removing your jewelry when doing the following:
- Washing your hands with harsh soaps
- Using skin care products, hair care, or fragrances
- Exercising at the gym or doing contact sports
- Meal preparation
- Manual labor, construction, gardening, etc.
- If you have a plated piece (such as gold or black), remove your jewelry before showering, bathing, or swimming in pools, oceans, or hot tubs
Cleaning Guide
Microfiber Cloth
Clean your jewelry with a microfiber cloth or 100% cotton fabric. This is gentle and effective for regular maintenance.
Polishing Cloth (For Silver)
The simplest way to clean your silver is by wiping it with the polishing cloth provided with your order. It effectively removes tarnish and keeps your pieces shining! ✨
Dish Soap Method (For Deeper Cleaning)
For a deeper clean, soak your silver jewelry in warm water with a drop of dish soap. Rinse it off and dry it gently with a clean cloth for that extra shine! 💧
Storage
Store properly to prevent tarnishing: To protect your silver jewelry, store it in a cloth pouch inside an airtight plastic bag, away from direct sunlight. This helps prevent tarnishing and keeps your pieces looking their best.
